9/21/2011 - Church Burglar(s) Wanted

08/13/2011 Items were taken from Shelby Christian Church on Frankfort Road. Most of the items taken were electronics totaling approximately $5,000 in value.

08/19/2011 Attempted theft occurred at Waddy Baptist Church. A door was damaged on the inside of the building, but nothing was reported missing.

09/15/2011 Items were taken from Highland Baptist Church. No signs of forced entry. Most of the items taken were electronics totaling $2,750 in value. 

Air-conditioning units have also been a target in recent thefts that include many local business and churches.

7/29/2011 - Theft Suspect Sought

On July 29th, 2011, the subject in question entered the Shelbyville Wal-Mart at 4:30 a.m. where he stole nearly $9500 in merchandise from the Electronics Department.

6/15/2011 - Burglary Suspect Sought
Information is being sought about a burglary at a residence last week in which several items were stolen.  On June 10th, between noon and 2:00 p.m., someone broke into a home on the 1000th block of Summerfield Drive by forcing open the front door.  The intruder stole camera equipment, jewelry, a laptop computer, a musical instrument, a coin collection and a handgun.  The thief also took the victim`s military medals, including a Bronze Star, awarded for service in Iraq.  Neighbors reported seeing a black male at the residence during the timeframe of the burglary.  The man is said to have appeared to be in his 30`s, about 6` tall with short hair and a muscular to heavy build.  Witnesses believe he was speaking to another perpetrator but couldn`t see the other person.  He was possibly driving a white, older model, full-sized vehicle.
